Triivl

Terms

These are the terms for using Triivl, the travel app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and the services that go with it. By using Triivl you agree to them.

In short

1. Who we are

Triivl is provided by Oclin Home AS, a Norwegian company (organisation number 930 930 423), called “we” below. Write to chb@oclin.no with questions about these terms.

2. The app licence

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add what is particular to Triivl and its services. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or for support of it.

3. Your account

Most of Triivl works without an account. Friends, share links, e-mail import and notifications need you to sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple account safe; what is done in Triivl while signed in with it is taken to be done by you. You must be at least 13 years old to use Triivl.

4. Your content

The trips, bookings, documents and notes you put into Triivl are yours. They are kept on your devices and in your own iCloud. You give us permission to handle the parts a feature needs for as long as that feature needs them: for instance the copy of a trip you choose to share, or a booking e-mail you forward for import. How that is done, and for how long, is set out on the privacy page.

You are responsible for what you put in and what you share, including details about people travelling with you. Share only what you have the right to share.

5. Sharing and friends

A share link can be opened by anyone who has it, until it expires or you withdraw it. Think about who you send it to. Friends you add can see what you have chosen to let them see, and you can remove a friend or turn sharing off at any time.

6. Fair use

Use Triivl for your own travel. Do not use it to harass or mislead anyone, to send or store unlawful material, or to forward e-mail that is not yours to the import address. Do not try to get around its limits, break its security, overload it or collect data from it by automated means. We may limit or close an account that does.

7. Travel information

Triivl shows departure times, gates, delays, timetables, weather and travel times from Avinor, Entur, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, FlightAware, Apple Maps and other sources. This information can be late, incomplete or wrong, and notifications can be delayed or fail to arrive. What Triivl reads from a scanned ticket or a forwarded e-mail is a suggestion and can also be wrong. Always check with the airline, operator, airport or hotel before you rely on it. Triivl does not sell travel and is not a party to your bookings.

8. Triivl Pro

Triivl Pro is an optional subscription that adds live travel data, flight timetables and notifications about changes. Everything else in Triivl is free.

We may change what Pro contains or what it costs. A price change for a running subscription is announced in advance in the way Apple requires, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

9. Changes to the service

We keep working on Triivl and may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you pay for, we say so in advance where that is possible. Test versions, for instance through TestFlight, are provided for trying out and may be unfinished, change without notice or stop working.

10. Ending

You can stop using Triivl whenever you like. Delete server account in the app's settings removes what our server holds about you; your trips stay in your iCloud until you delete them there. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, and will say why unless the law forbids it.

11. What we answer for

We provide Triivl with care, but as it is, and we cannot promise that it is always available or free of faults. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, or for loss that follows from wrong or late travel information, from a missed departure or connection, or from services run by others. Our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us for Triivl in the twelve months before the loss arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country you live in.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Get in touch with us first if something is wrong, so that we can try to put it right. Disputes that are not resolved are settled by the Norwegian courts, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring the case where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. If a change matters for you, we say so in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Triivl after that, the new terms apply.
